On December 2, we went to Marbel to attend One Young Mindanao, with the theme “Kabataang Mindanawon: Sa Eleksyon, May Partisipasyon”. We had to wake up at 3 a.m. because the bus would be getting us at Ateneo de Davao Roxas Gate by 4 a.m. Travel time would take 4-5 hours, so that explains why we had to go so early in the morning.

We were the first persons to use the new bus of AdDU. We felt so special, okay.

Geneva, and her new signature wacky pose. Also, we didn’t look like we didn’t have enough sleep.

After arriving in South Cotabato Cultural Center and Gym, we had to eat breakfast. Eating is one thing we just cannot skip.

They showcased wonderful cultural performances.

We also had to dance with everyone towards the end of the whole-day program.

We also had to take a group picture with Juana Change! And the founder and lead convenor of One Young Mindanao, Miss RC Sustiguer.

8 out of 11 in our circle of friends joined in the event. 8 out of 11 of us had fun, and were dead tired by the end of the program. We went home by 5 p.m. and arrived in Davao at 9 p.m.

Sometimes, the joy of today today tells me I can continue on. Sometimes, the promise of joy tomorrow tells me I can take on today.

I have been meaning to post these for the longest time, but I always get too lazy. I guess I ran out of stuff to procrastinate with, and while I wait for Marry’s Contemporary Politics class to end, here they are! :)

We went to this place called Monte Vicenteau, and it was insanely picturesque. It was pretty far off the city though—it takes around 30 minutes to an hour to get to depending on your vehicle. 30 minutes, FYI, is already long travel time when you’re in Tacurong where everywhere is literally five minutes away. The road there was terrible: a lot of bumps, and hardly any pavement.

Please excuse my terrible post-processing. That’s me, Emerson, Valerie, and Elcid.

Yeah, I definitely should not have touched them. Kristine makes the best brazo de mercedes ever. And I’m saying that after slaving away for five hours in the kitchen, only to make brazo de mercedes pudding. Lol That’s Spain next to her, by the way. Her name’s also Vanessa, but with three Vanessa’s in class, we decided to call the two others something else. :)

That’s the kids’ pool. Isn’t it pretty? I’m sorry I can’t stop gushing. It’s Tacurong—where people go swimming in t-shirts and shorts. This is like the best-looking pool we have, so far. Sad, but whatever. I like Tacurong. It’s chill.

I was waiting for my turn on the videoke machine there. We sang Beer and then it was so funny cause we were singing way too loud and the staff actually came up to us and asked us to keep it down. I always have the best memories singing that song.

And that’s everyone! Kidding. That’s only 21 of us, unfortunately. :(

Lol photobombing Rigel and Christian :)

With everyone’s favorite couple <3

I failed at post-processing everything, didn’t I? Forgive me! This is us, waiting for our ride after walking about two miles thinking that we were actually gonna walk all the way.

I believe this is my best shot. Lol. Hi, Val and Tessa! :)

And here comes our ride. Lol. Rigel’s parents were gracious enough to give us all rides home (not with that, duh) after feeding us in their home.

I just wanted to put this up because it was a very, very good memory.

My God is an awesome God

I have so much to be thankful for. For one, the mishap I’ve blogged about previously has shown me who are my real friends. It has also forced me to face the reality that I should stop forcing myself to befriend people who hate me.

In other news, I miss these goofballs:

ALSO,

HOLLA at the highest WPA I’ve gotten in 3 years! Thank You, Lord!
But after the whole newsletter thing, I have a feeling my News Writing grade’s gonna get so so low. But I won’t stop trying.

THANK YOU, MARRY! :)

Combed out my paper curls. I personally think it looks better like this. :))
Sorry I had to cut off my face. My hair may look nice, but stress is written all over my face. :|

I went to a dear old friend’s 18th birthday party (lol had to say the age because it’s a pretty big deal in the Philippines) and I did my hair. :))

My new favorite shirt! :) I got it in white because I’m cool like that.

I almost always get a really good grade when I write about nasty stuff.
